Prof. Emmanuel Hala Kwon-Ndung, a Professor of Plant Genetics and Breeding is currently the National President of the Genetics Society of Nigeria. He has significantly contributed in building capacity in the Nigeria's National Agricultural Research systems and the University. He has collaborated strongly with International Research and Development Agencies and won research grants from the World bank, IPGRI (Bioversity International), CTA, UNESCO, FAO and GFU. He is a winner of TWAS postdoctoral fellowship and is a well-travelled scientist who has equally published widely in International peer-reviewed scientific journals. His novel research on using mutation breeding to select resistant variants to the dreaded disease of smut in sugarcane led to release of three indigenous smut resistant industrial sugarcane varieties for commercial cultivation in Nigeria. He has supervised 9 Ph.Ds and over 37 M.Scs and is on the Editorial Board of many peer-reviewed academic Journals from different parts of the world as well as serving as a reviewer to several others. His current research focus on breeding NUS (neglected and underutilised species), prominent among which is Acha (Fonio) and Finger millet is very promising and is in line with his vision of using science to tame global food insecurity.
Bassi Ibrahim Studied Mathematics at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He obtained his Master`s Degree at the University of Ibadan in 1995 and Doctoral Degree at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi in 2012. He began his Academic career at the Borno College Agriculture Maiduguri as the Head of Basic Science Department 1992. He later left College of Agriculture and joined University of Maiduguri as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics in 1996. He is presently an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, Federal University Lafia. Ibrahim has several publications in both National and International academic journals. His research interest is in Functional Analysis and has supervised some Postgraduate Students. He has travelled widely within and outside Nigeria
Dr. Aleruchi Chuku is a Microbiologist with the Department of Microbiology, Federal University Lafia, Nigeria. Her research interest is in Medical Mycology with several publications. She is a reviewer to several peer-reviewed local and international journals.
Dr. Victoria Audu Pam has a degree in Zoology and aan M.SC in Applied Parasitology and Entomology from the University of Jos. She also has a Ph.D in Parasitology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Jos and National teachers' Institute respectively. She is an Associate in Medical Laboratory Science (AMLS from Federal College of Veterinary and Medical laboratory Science, Vom. She is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Federal University Lafia, Nigeria. She has published widely in both international and local journals.Her acquired experience in the academics at both Monotechnics and University levels and other forms of leadership trainings have enhanced her in areas of research and publications and positions her adequately to contribute in the set objectives of the FULafia Journal of Science and Technology.
Dr. Ezugwu Absalom received his Ph.D in Computer Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria with specialty in Distributed Systems Scheduling and Computational Intelligence. He is a Faculty staff of the Federal University lafia but is currently with the Optimization and Modeling research Group within the Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence Research in the School of Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa for his post-doctoral studies. His research interest includes parallel computing, grid scheduling, cloud scheduling, parallel algorithm design, optimization and artificial intelligence.
Dr Jude C. Onwuka is an Analytical Chemist with M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Kaduna State. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto. Dr Onwuka' s research focuses on environmental chemistry. He has publications on the recycling of agro wastes and human health risk assessment studies
