The FULafia Journal of Science and Technology (FJST) has continued to attract the attention and patronage from specialized members of the national academic community. Sometimes, in the beginning of the year 2018, the Editorial Board was approached by the Management of the College of Engineering of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta on the possibility of evaluating some research papers presented at the Faculty National Conference in 2018 for publication in our Journal. Out of the papers evaluated by our expert team of reviewers across the various Engineering specializations, 18 articles were recommended by the Editorial Team for publication in a Special issue in September 2018.

One interesting outcome from the recommendations of the review team was the significant contribution to scientific knowledge of the research results from the recommended research articles. The results are relevant and they have the capacity to impact on the general well being of the citizenry in solving common problems across the developing economies of the world.

We commend the commitment and collaboration of our proficient assessors and we believe that the little we are offering as incentive for the review services cannot be compared to the quality of effort you are rendering to the scientific community.

EDITORIAL OF VOL. 4, No. 1 MARCH 2018

The FULafia Journal of Science and Technology (FJST) is again pleased to publish the Vol 4 No 1 March 2018 edition of the Journal. In January 2018, the Journal finally obtained an electronic ISSN 26364972 and we are poised to serve our stakeholders more deligently in reaching out to the larger scientific community with results of high impact research. The Journal is focused on the biannual publication in March and December and our team of committed editorial members will continue to work hard to accomplish the goals of the Journal. We appreciate the support of our expert advisory board and our reviewers in ensuring quality in line with international best practices. Our online submission system is being reviewed for upgrading to enable authors to check the progress of their submissions directly. For the mean time, contributors are encouraged to either submit their articles through the Manuscript Submission Form on the website or through the email address on our website. A total of twelve (12) research articles on research-based issues from researchers from various Institutions and disciplines within the scope of the Journal are covered in the Vol 4 Number 1, March, 2018. We appreciate the support and encouragement of the Management of our great University to the Editorial Board. The keen interest shown by the patronage of the Journal by a wide spectrum of the research community is a challenge for us to do more in stepping up the standard of the Journal. EDITORIAL OF VOL. 3, 2017

The FULafia Journal of Science and Technology (FJST) is biannual publication of the Faculty of Science, Federal University Lafia published in March and December. We assure all our stakeholders that we will continue to work towards achieving the goals of the Journal. To this end, we are committed to sustain the timely production of the biannual issues of the Journal. The Editorial Advisory Board has been strengthened with new members from outside Nigeria to improve on the quality of the peer review process.
