PEER REVIEW

Scientific peer review process

A scientific assertion is made public if it is scrutinised for its credibility. To ascertain that the scientist has drawn justifiable conclusions, based on the data available from sound scientific research, a peer review process is engaged as a form of scientific quality control, where scientists open their research to the scrutiny of other experts or ‘peers’ in the field. FJST ensures that Scientists reviewing and criticize each other’s work to ensure that only original and sound research is published and recognised.

Reviewers of FJST remain anonymous and should not have any conflicts of interest in relation to the research. If a paper does not meet the requirements, based on the peer reviews, the editor can either reject it or deem it acceptable subject to adequate changes, allowing authors to react and revise their paper.
